Anakin was in his office forming glitter solar systems.

It only looked like he was bored.

He'd tell you he was practicing Very Important Jedi Things.

He'd be full of it.

Katara realised she'd not seen her former mentor in a very long time. And since she was bored and wandering around and saw the door open, she decided to peek in.

"Hi!"

Anakin gave her a small smile. "Katara!" He waved her into the office and brought the glitter down from the ceiling to form a large ball between his hands. "It's good to see you."

"I don't have any classes today so I was bored," she explained. "Uhh, not that I would only come to see you when I was bored! And, hey, glitter! I learned how to waterbend with glitter over the summer!"

It was a save...really.

Anakin raised an eyebrow but let the snub pass. "You can bend the glitter?" he asked. "Into what?"

[southernbender]

"Well, I'm not really bending the glitter, but if I mix it with water, I can bend the water and the glitter goes along with," she explained, still trying not to facepalm at herself.

A ghost of a smile passed across Anakin's face. "That still takes some work," he praised, "and a great deal of concentration."

[southernbender]

She smiled back at him. "Thank you. It would be good in a water fight too."

[sith_happened]

"Have you gotten into a lot of those over the summer?" Anakin asked with a larger smile.

[southernbender]

"There were more fun ones than real ones," Katara said. "I think that counts as a win."

[sith_happened]

Anakin's expression turned more serious. "Real ones?" he asked quietly. "Dinosaurs, or something else?"

[southernbender]

"Dinosaurs," she agreed then shifted uncertainly. "Some of us went with Mel to her home. There were vampires there."

Anakin watched her carefully. "How did water affect them?" he asked. Tactics first, feelings second...tactics were always easier to talk about.

[southernbender]

"They seem to be allergic to holy water," she commented. "Tended to burst into ash."

[sith_happened]

Anakin gave her a proud smile. "They also don't like getting their heads cut off," he said. "Just in case that ever comes up again. You were all right?"

[southernbender]

Katara paused thoughtfully. "I wonder if I could use a waterwhip for that." She looked up and nodded. "Fire works on them too. I was good, there were only a few injuries in the group and I could heal most of them."

[sith_happened]

Anakin didn't look entirely pleased to hear of injuries. "Most of them?" he asked.
