He was wearing a paper hat at Juliet's insistence (because it wasn't a party without hats, she told him and no amount of "Jedi don't wear hats" was going to dissuade her on him wearing the silly pointed thing with bright polka dots on it) and trying not to scowl too hard.
Birthdays were just not his thing. Especially fake big number ones.
