"Yahoo! Groups: bibleskins: This is a Group for all CHRISTIAN SKINHEADS. Skinheads that read the bible, or want to learn about the bible and talk to other shinheads about it.-------------------------------------------------ALL SKINHEADS WELCOME " Goes on to explain that skinheads are not necessarily "haters..."
Now, forgive me if I ever seem cynical of someone saying that they don't hate gays, or they don't hate people of other religions, or they don't hate fill in the blank. This is why:
White supremacists say stuff like that all of the time.
That is why I feel it is important to study white supremacists. A lot. After a while, it almost becomes laughable when people just say random crap like "I don't hate people" or "I'm a good person" and that's the end of it, as if a flat statement proved anything at all.
Please, if you ever write anything remotely resembling an opinion essay, keep this in mind: you need to give proof! You need to cite sources! You need to give actual reasons for statements, as opposed to just pulling slogans out of your ass and slapping them on paper!
Anyone can say "I don't hate people." Adolf Hitler could say "I don't hate people." Would that make it true? Not necessarily. You have to give proof of things instead of bandying words about haphazardly for 500-odd words.
If you do not give proof of things, your arguments are like giant floating balloons with thin skins, waiting for a bloodthirsty band of people with dart guns (ie, professors) to come and absolutely deflate the fuck out of them.
