I've not posted for quite some time. Super busy. Jack's birthday was on Friday. I can't believe my little baby is 4 years old. Seems like just short time since I was telling you all about how I was having him. We had such a great time. We went to the zoo, then to McDonalds playland, then played in the yard and had pizza for dinner. We had a party on Sunday and he got to play in the pool all day and eat hot dogs and chips and cake and we had water balloons. He was in heaven. I think he actually understood that it was his birthday. He kept asking to open presents and eat cupcakes. That's the thing with Jack, it's not that he doesn't understand things, it's that you don't know if he understands.
We've started seeing a specialist doctor who does the DAN (Defeat Autism Now) protocol. We're going to start Jack on vitamin B-12 injections and see how those work. If they don't help then we move on to the next thing and then the next. I'm hopeful that it helps him. I don't mind him being different, I think all the best people are a little different. I just want him to be able to live a fulfilling life. I look forward to the day when he'll be able to tell me that he thinks that cloud looks like a dragon. It seems like a strange goal to have, but there it is nonetheless.
