I've been back in NOLA since Friday, but I've got quite an update to get through.

Thursday night was Shelby's 21st birthday at the Keg and Barrel. The highlight of the night was Testosterone v. Estrogen Cornhole Extravaganza.

Yeah, I'd never heard of this game either. Apparently, there are two long wooden planks angled upwards at one end with a hole in it. The planks are placed several feet away from each other and the two teams stand behind opposite ones. Then they attempt to toss four bean bags into the hole of the other team's plank, but you get points if you even make it on the plank.

We won. We then, in spectacular Will and Grace fashion, told the boys to "SUCK ON IIIIIIT."

Breaking news: Kira Lyon is my new hero.

Friday, more Meisner. It wasn't as epic as some of the other days (Sean took us out for ice cream one day; he claimed it was for Shelb's birthday, but I secretly think it was because we all destroyed each other the day before). I did threaten to flip the table that Pigott was sitting at over, but that was it.

Got our scene. We're doing the Hal-Catherine scene at the very end of Proof. I freaking love it. I don't think I've ever played a for true crazy bitch before.

Anywhoozle. Drove home after that, and I rested Friday night.

Saturday morning, went shopping with my mom because I no longer have black pants that fit me. Bad news is that now I'm between sizes, and it's harder to find clothes that fit. Good news is that I now fit into size ten pants (and some of those are a little loose) and, occasionally, medium tops.

Medium, ladies and gents. Medium.

Sunday was my favorite day because I got to see my favorite boys in the whole wide world. Michael and I went for coffee, then wandered around the mall and babbled. Then we headed down to the Quarter to see Dwayne's Christmas show at One-Eyed Jack's. The show itself was awesomely bad. Dwayne stripped down to Hannukah hot pants and did - gasp, shock, 'cause he never does these - toe touches.

Afterwards, the three of us went to Hoshun, that bangin' Chinese joint on St. Charles that's open 'til two AM. We all split an appetizer (crab and crawfish wontons), an entree (General Tso's chicken), and two side dishes (eggplant and green beans), and we were hella full. And we all only payed, like, ten bucks. I give Hoshun a big thumbs up, yo.

Monday involved more lounging and video games because Dwayne crapped out on us for Christmas in the Oaks. Sorry, Celebration in the Oaks. Hopefully, we can go tonight; I'd hate to break the tradition.

Even more exciting! Dwayne and Michael are officially heading up to Hattiesburg for AC's New Years party. The 'burg may explode; I don't know if it can handle the glory of the Musketeers.

So, this kind of surprised me. As much as I love both these shows, you'd think I would have noticed that the same guy who plays Vince on Will and Grace also plays Torquemada on OZ. Trippy, yo.

And for now, that's all I got.

family, theatre, musketeers
