Further notes:
Right now, I'm anticipating dinner for about sixteen diners. Same as always - meaty-spicy spaghetti and garlic bread, and maybe a simple salad. There will be table space for about 8-10 in the dining room and another 8 or so on various seats in the living room. Right now, the committed attendees have first rights to spaghetti. If I have less spaghetti than attendees, I will be forced to ration based on who committed first. (On the other hand, I can stop and get more fixin's on the way back from Walker's on Saturday. In addition, if I get a call before 3PM on Saturday, I can ask the person to bring some of the fixin's needed as well.)
That's Walker's in Lake Zurich, meeting Saturday morning at 10AM. Right now, the table looks to be Dennis and myself. :)
There is only one bathroom. Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do while the door is open.
If you own any nextgen game system (PS3, PSP, Wii, DS, 360), I have 'em all. I'm interested in seeing some new games, and am certainly available if someone wants to try their PS2 game on a PS3 to see if it works, or their XBox game on a 360. I would also be happy if any attendees who happened to own any of the non-handheld units would share their account names or friend codes - I like my friends lists.
One warning on the games, though - if it requires a musical instrument (even only your voice), I don't want it in the place. You want your own party, sing and Simon your brains out. My party, my rules. I am so over Simon and Dragon's Lair.
I was originally forecasting a 90% chance of running Paranoia on Sunday. Drop that to about 10%. If anyone wants to run something one-shot, though, it would fit with tradition. (O Tannenbaum, O Tannenbaum...)
There is ONLY one bathroom. When a rule on a card contradicts a rule in the book, the card takes precedence.
I may be changing the chocolate chip cookies on Friday for oatmeal raisin. Management reserves the right to alter the cookie species and/or genus.
There will be precisely TWO fridgepacks of non-diet. This supply is right now limited to Brian W., Rian and Barry. There will be at least ONE fridgepack of Minute Maid Light. This is mostly reserved for Brian M. There will be a fair amount of diet soda products. Edible snacks are not anticipated, as there will be cookies on Friday and two big meals on Saturday. Sunday we should all just feel guilty and starve.
Oh, and speaking of beverages - this is a dry party. Most already know it, but I say it here again.
Peggle will be available on the PC - and Magic Online 3, if you want to see it.
I just -might- be giving away a LaserJet 2200. Not sure if I have the room for it.
The intersection of Lake-Cook and Hicks just put up a camera today, most likely to catch speeders and partial-stoppers. Just so's you know.
It doesn't matter what the stripper tells you. There is only one bathroom.
Anyhoo, if we've met more than twice, consider yourself invited. After that, I'm happy to make new friends - but call me first and let me know how you know of me and what you like to play.
