There was a book I wanted on ebay, From Pillar to Post: Looking at Street Furniture. I bid 50p for it seven days ago. Someone bid 55p for it six days ago. My bid went up to 60p. There it stayed until four hours before the auction ended earlier today when 'ironageman' bid for it, temporarily winning the bidding at the price of £6.20. I raised my maximum to £8, outbidding him, but he raised again to £10.20. In the end, I was forced to pay £10.70 (+ a ridiculous £4 postage and packaging) for the book. Who on earth does this 'ironageman' think he is? What sort of demented freak bids £10.20 for a book on bloody street furniture?
