Here's my dilemma:
The tenant who rented my apartment before me obviously smoked like a chimney and never opened the windows.
Before I moved in, the interior was repainted and new carpet installed. Three weeks later, smell of tobacco smoke remains. The smell permeates everything, I can smell it on my clothes as if I'm the one who caused it. Fuck!
So far I've:
Installed an air purifier, saged the place, kept windows opened to air it out, scrubbed the walls and ceilings with an herbal wash, hung sachets of odor-absorbing volcanic pumice, used baking soda, etc.
The smoke is triggering my allergies (can't breath at night, wake up in the morning w/ a sore throat), and the kiddoes will be staying with me beginning tomorrow evening...I don't want them to be affected by it.
What's a girl to do? Ever had this problem? If so, how did you resolve it?
