Found out not-so-long ago that a dear friend of mine has AIDS. Haven't had much to say about it, as it's hard for me to imagine that the world will continue to spin without him. I'm stepping out of doom-and-gloom mode and into action; haven't done an AIDS walk in what feels like forever. NYC, here I come:
http://www.aidswalk.net/newyork/index.html ASU, my alma mater, has a loft in the city (used to be in TriBeCa, now it's on 24th St.)
http://www.ny.appstate.edu/loft/index.html , which still has plenty-o-space the weekend of May 21st.
Ya listening,
papalegba? Hard to keep the specs of our road trip (train trip) a secret, as if you want to walk you'll need to register and such. I am such a lousy kidnapper; maybe you'll develop Stockholm Syndrome and it won't matter that I've spilled the beans. :oP
Additionally, I will post this to the HoN boards, I think it'd be great to get a group together for this.
Speaking of AIDS walks, it's been a while since I have been to Hotlanta, and I'd love to walk in Atlanta in October as well.
sistermystery, I'd love to finally meet you if this works out! ;o)
