Moving

Did you ever notice how hard it is to do even normal everyday things when you're moving? I have. We just bought a house (more on that nightmare in a bit) and I'll tell you, packing has to be the second most stressful thing in the world. It seems like you don't use something in MONTHS so you pack it up and move the box to a storage place to make room for more boxes of things you haven't used in quite sometime. And then it happens. The week you pack these things up....it seems that the need for every last item comes up. Why is that?

The first most stressful thing in the world is buying the house itself. The flaming hoops of razors you have to jump through are insane!! Inspections, financing, insurance, closing costs, codes, painting and not to mention getting rid of the place that you live in now. Then transferring everything over to your name from the previous owners. Purchasing items...large ticket items that you left with the old house and the owners took with them. Does'nt it figure... Oh well, I wanted a new fridge anyway and my washer and dryer suck too.

Moving with children is a hassle as well. I have a 14 year old step son and the twins. Packing up items to turn around a second later and see them strewn all over the floor again is nerve wracking to say the least. Don't get me wrong, I love my children. I just wish that I could pack them away with the rest of my stuff until after the move.
