Derek's on his way to an interview for a plumber's assistant. It's a good job choice -- he has a natural talent with plumbing and fixing things in general. Also, it could be an incredibly worthwhile career for him. I fussed at him to make sure everything was in place and neat (I have more than a little mother hen in me, yes); now all I can do is wait and hope.

I've received some lovely e-mails from Cliff. It's wonderful when a dear friend is happy and doing things that make him happy.

I found five (5!) job listings for human resources assistant. I'm really hoping I get one of these jobs, because I could use the money. If I get one of these jobs, and Derek gets this job he's applying for, we could buy a house within a year. We need to not pay these exorbitant rent prices for the priviledge of being in a two-bedroom apartment. Mortgage payments are less than what we pay for this apartment!

I made vegetarian wontons. Unfortunately, what I was thinking of was gyoza, a Japanese dumpling. The difference is the wrapper. It's much softer on the gyoza than on the won-tons. Deeply disappointing, but at least the filling was good.

Too many books to read, too little time spent not working! :)
