if anyone out there has any recommendations for computer components, which sound cards are better, what hard drive/motherboard/cpu gives you more bang for your buck, that sort of shiz, drop me a note, plz. of course, i'll have to eventually go with whatever the stores in the area actually carry, but although i've done my own research, i wouldn't mind having someone else's opinion on this stuff. especially since most of the sites i've gone to to read about components haven't been updated for several years.

i'd buy a mac, except i've already got a decent keyboard and mouse and my beloved monitor, and no way am i getting rid of that yet.

also, to everyone, not just the geeks: hi, how are ya. nothing new in my life, except the extremely short hair and my new movie star obsession. and last week's bout of stomach flu. how about you?
