I am officially on spring break for the whole week. Happy day. Of course it comes at a cost, kid one is sick. In fact relatively serious sick, as she had trace ketones twice during the illness, and we've never experienced that one before. Now she seems to be improving.
Had a pump info class. Need to throw some questions out there to the community. I'm more unsure about pumps than I was before. Still proceeding on that front for a summer turnover to pump user....if my questions and concerns can be addressed.
Classroom news: I teach at a small Catholic School. Yes that's right, a full swing to the left bleeding heart liberal at a catholic school. Variety is good! So I plan a sedar meal for my class on the first day of Passover last week. I hope all errors are forgiven, and I think it went really well. It's funny to me that the students (3rd grade - just starting to think!) don't get the connections between the practices of the Jewish faith and the Catholic faith, or at least how they are sometimes intertwined. It was really well received and there was not a drifter or daydreamer in the bunch of 40 students. Using a site called the "30 minute sedar" was a lifesaver. It was great.
But now, we are on break. I am wrapping up some housekeeping issues tomorrow, and then I'm off to visit a friend (sans kids) on Wed. through the weekend. Before I leave I must do the following:
1. clean both households fish tanks (one 60 and one 30 gallons)
2. finish grading some tests, and post the grades at the school web site
3. finalize lesson plans for return from spring break
4. iron
5. take the dog to the vet for his shots
6. take care of some help my outreach family needs concerning summer childcare
7. confirm hotel reservations for a business trip after spring break
8. pack
9. download my kid's meter, and get her questions ready for the endo visit on Tues.
It's so nice to be on spring break.....have a great one everyone.
