Youth Ministry Emphasis
I just helped make a change on our campus that affects maybe 5 students a year, if that. Yeah, well, I took a leadership class as a part of my major that was really terrible, all talk and nothing hands on. Then I talked with my classmates about changes to our major, we went to the Religious Studies faculty, and in the course of the past six months, the changes were refined, I wrote multiple proposals and talked to the faculty on a few occasions, they approved it and the academic dean supported their decision. Changes go into effect next fall, which may be too late for it to make a difference for any of us who helped make changes, but, my friend Kristen is looking at coming her with my same major next fall :) It would be very cool knowing that I made a positive change for her, or any other students.
