Alignment Pending

So... I've been reading about out of body experiences from so called "experiencers" but have yet to read the famed Robert Monroe's "Journeys Out of the Body", who supposedly could achieve out of body states at will. I had an out of body experience once, but it was drug induced.

I'd still enjoy hearing about it, if you are willing. Sometimes drugs hinder parts of us that could possibly hold us back otherwise. Does that makes sense?

Well, the drugs had been taking a hold of me for twenty minutes maybe. I was sitting on a bench and had a falling sensation. I felt like I was peering at myself from around a ledge beneath me, as if I were standing on some diagonal plane intersecting with the ground where the bench was. It's sometimes easier to draw than to explain. And in a rush I snapped back to my regular perspective.

I also had a near death experience when I almost drowned as well, but I wouldn't characterize that as out of body as I never saw myself during the experience.
