re old conversation: No problem at all! It was slightly confusing but I certainly didn't consider it to be rude. :) While it doesn't necessarily apply in this case, in general I always try to keep in mind that people from all over the world with all kinds of backgrounds try to communicate with each other (often in a foreign language) so there's always room for some misunderstanding.

Yes, from what I've read, a lot of songs were replaced on the DVDs. Many episodes are still available on the net. But I can understand if you don't want to spend too much time just downloading. But in case you'd like to re-watch an ep.
Also, yes, the writers "sexed up" Shahi in the second season. While I feel slightly like a hypocrite, seeing her in men's shirts and her hair back was more than enough for me.
Since I don't watch too much TV series I'm only partially used to the concept of season arcs. So I was slightly disappointed to find out that that term is only loosely used. Though in this case the writer's strike probably messed up a few things.

My idea for a season arc came very early. I think it was in the very first episode when the characters were introduced it was shown that Det. Reese also has a very messed up past. So it seemed only natural to me once they have focused on Crews past for a while they would make a season about Reese's past. But over time it became clear that it is mainly his show. Which is fine. I just thought the other thing might be an option too.

Not sure if your argument for TV shows (and their complexity) in connection with your (alleged) short attention span is slightly conflicting. ;)
