I've decided that I need to catalog my character's costume colours, because seriously? This girl be crazy.
So, story: There's an armour skin set in GW2 called the Profane Armor. It doesn't have stats of its own; it is purely a skin that was created for looks, and you use Transmutation Stones to change the stats. You can do this with anything that you pick up, actually, but the cosmetic skins are quite nice. I paid 400 gems (cash shop currency, pair for with funds from my Paypal account balance and in-game gold) for a full set of armour skins. That equals out to about $5.00USD.
After purchasing said armour skins, I'm not too inclined to give them up... I did manage to screw up the transmutation on the gloves, though, so ... That sucks. But the ones I transmuted still look okay, so whatever.
From this morning. Mike sent me that scary pink (Cotton Candy, a rare dye), so I had to mix it with purple...
The "normal" color scheme I go with; red and gold. I look like a big damn superhero. :3
Variation: red and grey.
Mike needs to stop sending me dye. The green (Wasabi, a common dye) absolutely begged to be paired with that pink (Papaya, another common [also technically in the orange spectrum; weird]).
And how I left my character tonight. The dark brown is Peanut Butter (Common, technically in the yellow spectrum), and looks awesome with Dijon (a starter dye, also yellow).
I feel the need to point out the difference in levels and map completion between the first image and this one. And tomorrow will be even better. :3 We've got Lornar's Pass to complete tomorrow!
Extras!
Mike's character totally photobombed me! (The Norn's dance
is amazing, and has wonderful sound effects and facial expressions that go along with it. Watch that video. Seriously.)
I found a skritt with my name! (Skritt are scary creatures. They're not very smart by themselves, but if you get a lot of them in one place, they actually become more intelligent. Creepy.)
And an Asura puppet icon, if you're so inclined! <3
In Other News: I finished reading Let's Pretend This Never Happened, and I'm going to send it to my mum. I think she'll like it. I started reading Divergent last night; it's good. I'm interested to see where it's going.
