Where the WIld Things Aren't
So, rented 'Where the Wild Things Are' last night. What a freakin' disappointment! I know it's a kids book but all the people *I* knew eagerly awaiting it were ADULTS. Why make a completely childish movie? Not only did it seem vague and pointless but the soundtrack by Karen O______ somebody was vapid! Almost off-key atonal rambling lyrics, when there actually *were* lyrics and that ridiculous sounding guitar...all through the movie. Every god-damned scene. Unnecessary and distracting. Bleah. I think I'll pick brutal fare next weekend and maybe rent 'Precious'. It will at least encourage thought.
