Have any of y'all ever seen Dogville? It has Nicole Kidman in it and I'm a big fan of hers so I tend to watch just about everything she's in. This movie came out in 2003, but I hadn't heard much about it, nor had I seen it till tonight. I was up doing laundry and noticed it coming on the Sundance channel so I decided to watch. I'd actually read a little about it at some point in the past so I was relatively prepared for how different it was going to be. Basically, there's no scenery, it's just actors on a stage, just like you'd see in a play I'd assume (a very sparse play) so the actors have to be really good to keep you interested. It was powerful, intense, painful and ultimately horrifying due to what people are capable of doing to one another. I agreed with how it ended on so many levels, but it was still tragic. I recommend it, but it's not a fun movie to watch.
