Many Thanks And My Apologies
Tonight I learned that my inspiration to become a television news anchor has sadly passed away. Peter Jennings' voice and picture entered my home five days a week ever since I was child, until his last professional broadcast in April 2005. His eloquence and wonderfully ad-libbed broadcasts were always a pleasure. I enjoyed his topics, his demeanor, his vocabulary, and his level, straight-forward delivery of our modern world history. I give him "many thanks" for bringing the world right before my eyes for an entire lifetime. And "my apologies" to those he was close to. Yes, everybody, I loved him. Rest in peace, Petrie.
