Oh wow. OK, I actually don't even know/remember how I stumbled onto this journal, I think you may have RPed with one of my friends sir_hellsing but I just wanted to say how totally blown away I was by your entries here. I actually read from first post to last and found myself totally in awe of your willpower and ability to give such life and personality to a character with such little screen/page-time. And what more? to do it while being nearly the only Iscariot member in the game and the one to stay the longest out of all of them. That's such an amazing feat and I totally commend you for it, I wonder if I could have lasted so long without having to rely on canon-mates...
Anyway, I found myself really captivated by your portrayal of Yumie/Yumiko and I wanted you to know how much it inspired me to do better as a likewise RPer of her. Her entire time in Poly had me wanting to know what would happen next, it was like reading an epic fanfic. From her trauma of breaking her vows, and having to deal with everyone's' mockery of her for it, to finally getting things settled with Enrico at the end, it was really inspiring, and I admit you had me choked up a few times that she broke down... Being mentally broken down, while already having a mental condition was something truly to be pitied.
You made her such a trooper through it all though and I'm so glad you never sullied her character with self-deprecating emoing for the rest of her stay after all that happened to her. It was a great breath of fresh air and I thank you for a such good read from the bottom of my heart.

Oh goodness, this was the last thing I expected to find in my inbox. Man.
Geez, I don't where to start. Thank you so, so much. I actually wondered, as time went on and she began to develop in the game, how this version of the character would look to someone just randomly coming in and reading her posts, if the ideas about the character I was working with would make any sense to other fans.
It's a real relief to hear that she didn't read as overly emo, because that was a big concern I had when playing her as time went by and bad things happened. This comment was totally a shot in the arm of confidence, so again, thank you. :)
It's always really neat to find other Yumie/Yumiko players, I tend to feel like the only one! XD I've gotta ask, where are you playing her?

Oh god it's actually pretty embarrassing to say XD! I've started playing her at a 'AU Highschool' based game called Clairbourn. It's actually pretty damn lame there, but the Heinkel player there was desperate for a companion; I play Alucard there regularly too to keep the Anderson there sane (or more insane?). I did it more of a challenge to see if I could adapt Hellsing characters to an 'IRL' setting while keeping them true to their nature. It's proved interesting but frustrating at times. :/ More or less you've gotta make your character 'realistic', so as an example: Yumie couldn't keep her split personality, but could be considered Bi-polar; with her outbursts being labeled as nearly a totally different person to whom she really is.
But having read your entries for Yumie/Yumiko helped me get a better touch on her personality and how she might react in a totally different environment as opposed to the Secret Sect of the Vatican and whatever mission she sent upon.
It's also motivated me to go and take her to more 'canon' games where I can play her true to herself and canon world. Though that in itself has proved to be difficult :/ There seems to be only so much to choose from lately D:!
You wouldn't happen to recommend any good games would you?

Oh, the siren song of a lonely Heinkel player~ That's interesting, I've been considering trying something along the lines of an integrated but bipolar personality the next time I play her (for variety's sake and because it could be argued to be the case in Hellsing canon proper outside of Crossfire), and props to you for trying her in such a setting.
Aw, shucks. Again, I'm glad and flattered to have been an inspiration.
Sorry to say, no. I've actually been shopping around for a new place to give Sister Takagi another go, myself. XD I don't know of any single-fandom regular Hellsing games going on right now, but if you'd like to practice her with other cast members, I did just make a new Hellsing RP dressing room and you'd be welcome to join. It's over at hellsingdrssing, if you're interested. :)
And hey, I couldn't help but check out your icons and noticed you've got some marked "????" Just so you know whom to credit, I was the one who made those.

Oh thank you! I couldn't remember where I had snagged them from, I'll cred you right away :3 Icons involving anyone NOT Alucard/Integra/Young Walter seem impossible to find D: Let alone fanart to make your own with :/
I've just been looking for any place that'll allow me to at least play her as her canon self, be it multifandom (which seems to be the only thing around anymore) or not. I'll check your dressing room out though! Thanks for the link! <3
I played in Poly years ago as Irvine Kinneas roguish_honesty... I survived maybe... 2 months before I found myself backtracking through a 100 posts trying to catch up after leaving the computer for like 2 days lol! You're certainly more of a trooper than I.
I've really just started out with Yumie, so I'm rusty as hell, but I feel I'm slowly getting the reigns on her in which direction I want to go. Dealing with an overly-lewd Jan Valentine in this game does not help her chaste situation *dies*
