mithrigil did this last year, and I'm Shamelessly Copying this year, as entertainment as I finish up edits on the last two pieces before I belong to my Sweet Charity winners. :D
(Yes, I haven't finished my last 'prompt me,' because I didn't keep those at drabble length, so they're taking a, um, while. These are going to stay at drabble length if it kills me, drat it.)
I'll take two characters or pairings per prompt. Fandoms are: Fullmetal Alchemist, Final Fantasy VII, Kingdom Hearts, and, oh, let's say Digital Devil Saga, Elfquest and Discworld for kicks. Any character is fine, but going for known favorites of mine tends to produce best results. ;)
1. River of Blood (Mustang, for puella_nerdii)
2. Frogs (DDS, for mithrigil)
3. Lice
4. Flies (Breda, for seaweedfma)
5. Pestilence (Reeve, for liltigre)
6. Boils (Havoc, for raja815)
7. Hail and Fire (Elena and Tseng, for lassarina)
8. Locusts (Jinana, for qara_isuke)
9. Darkness (Hawkeye, for regicidaldwarf)
10. Death of the Firstborn
(I will probably interpret some or all of these metaphorically, and I reserve the right to go for fluff/humor/crack, despite the inherent angstiness of the list. Of course, I might also go with angst; who knows? We'll see!)
EDIT: Cool! So far everything but Lice and Death of the Firstborn have been prompted. Yay. Feel free to keep 'em coming, if the mood strikes.
