(no subject)
Okee, so it hit me last night, while sitting on the couch with Druid that we're getting married in 3 and a half months. Whew! It's nice to feel that day get closer and closer, and to have only 8 ish months until the wedding! (Which reminds me, it's time for me to ask my womens to be my bridesmaids)... it's so exciting I could just about pop in ad nauseum glee!
Since my therapist was recommending that I focus on some of the things that will change with the legal marriage (to help it feel like it's real), I've been practicing out a few things, like seeing my name in print with Druid's last name, not correcting people when they refer to him as my husband, etc. And thus far it's been cool - I'm finally starting to realize that this actually is my life and that I actually am about to marry Druid.
So... I'm one of those freebies nuts. I send away for samples of *everything* because hey, they're free, and especially with 'beauty' products, sometimes I want to try things out first and stuff - or that I can get five samples for free when buying the equivalent amount can be $10.
But anyways, I digress.
So, I requested a sample a couple weeks ago, and put what my married name will be in the shipping info. I'd completely forgotten about it until it arrived today. And damn... seeing my name with his last name... so neat. :) Add to that the UPS guy calling Druid my Husband, and well... I'm kinda squee-central right now.
And I got some errands done without much panic. So yeah... getting all the crying out this morning definitely helped. I processed something today, too, which I'll write about later - BUT I'm going to enjoy the squeeing while it's not yet annoying me :)
