"Once you begin to believe there is help 'out there,' you will know it to be true." -- Saint Bartholomew
Questions to Ponder:
Do I believe?
Indeed, I do. I know it's out there, all I have to do is look and I'll see it.
Where do I see help?
Everywhere. In the squirrels who run past, reminding me of my own abilities to gather, and stoking my fire of strength with remembrance. In the trees outside, knowing I can plop beneath one and feel connected. In the faces of my neighbors, many of whom are really great (if not noisy) people. In my community, both online and off... the support that is available emotionally, physically, and in all other aspects is staggering. In my partner, and knowing that he is with me, always, even when I'm angry or sad or mopey. In myself... I know that I can look inside and find the strength to get through just about anything... even if all I can do is just sit and breathe to pass the time.
