Soon, soon, there will be a KOALACaddie webpage, and I can share all the drool. Until then, I'll word of mouth you to pieces.
Basically, a KOALACaddie is a fiber enthusiast's enabler. You never. Have. To. Put. Your. Project. Down. Because putting it down, means putting it in your pouch. And whether you're wearing it around your middle or over your shoulder - your project's right there, held neatly and cleanly, within arm's reach.
It's a marsupial pouch, custom made for you with the fabric and satin of your choosing. It has snaps to customize the size of the bag to the project you're using. She makes a smaller, inner pouch to the right size based on whether you crochet, knit, or quilt.
I picked the fabric for it, a gorgeous Japanese-style print with cranes, chrysanthemums, and cherry trees, and she coordinated the inner lining with the flower I specified from the print. It's sturdy, pretty, machine washable, and wonderful.
Describing it won't do it justice, so I'll take pictures to post later, and I'm sure locals will see me wearing it all the time now! Don't be daunted by the price (the high-end ones are $75, with $5 for shipping) - it's so worthwhile. Sturdily built, gorgeous, useful, protects your projects and makes them infinitely portable... I'm so very, very happy.
Pretty much,
druidwolf's Thanksgiving Day present to me (because neither of us wanted to wait until Yule!) is made of awesome, as is he. :D
