today was THE gorgeous crisp bright fall day. i spent it.. doing my laundry waiting for the phone/internet guy communicating with said guy, buying a printer, schlepping said printer plus paper not getting what i needed from the drugstore, dipping below my desired before-i-get-a-job bank account balance.
after buying a bed, dresser, lamps, mirror, bedding, printer, textbooks, phone, wireless router, kitchen stuff, devendra tickets, groceries all the time, computer speakers, fan, all sorts of other shit i need plus the shit i need that's beer and marijuana i am very very close to destroying my budget and dipping into that cushion money. i think i'l make it, there's a large variety of shoe stores and stuff hiring downtown. tomorrow i hand out the resumes that i printed off of the printer i bought today.
still piecing together my life-life, as in outfitting the place i sleep in and finding the places i study at, has made a social-life feel like a fantasy. i don't even need that yet. but i feel good. my short story and novel classes feel like they'll be satiating and i met another cool american in my linguistics class. we'retaking this country by storm, just ask sarah.
