It is entirely much too bloody boring in this stupid country, it's intolerable! I just got back from a long and lovely weekend in the chateau in France where I got to ride an Abraxan, throw stones at the giant at the zoo, got an exquisite tan at Ile de Porquerolles and saw a magnificent fireworks display from the great Huo and his Chinese Fireball ( Read more... )

What! I'd do something for 100 Galleons! Jeez, you little tartlet, I'd do damn near anything for 100 Galleons! How about... um... I'll jump over the fence at the wizard zoo and ride some dangerous animal for you? I've considered doing that even without payment!

I...

...don't believe the risk of injuring yourself or worse would be worth 100 Galleons, Dai.

I'd pay 100 galleons just to watch him be mauled. Narcissa, dear, how about we start a pool instead to get enough money up for the fat load to stand in front of a dark creature and get chewed up like the doggy treat he resembles?

You! Only you consistently pick on him! For 100 Galleons I will readily duel you for that ridiculous suggestion!

For a paultry 100 Galleons? I have that much under seat cushions in my bedroom. You and me, one on one duel. Now, how's that for entertainment?

Those blasted coins might win me back my friend's honour as well as allow me the ample opportunity to whoop your nancying arse, so I'd say it's a fair deal.

So be it then. You and me, mano e mano, and just to up the stakes another notch, how about we make it double or nothing as well?

Oh, how I do love this. My day is getting better and better. Double or nothing, eh? Tell you what, since I know you do not have the money, when I win, you can work off your debt. I'll think of tasks for that later, of course.

Nancying arse? Well well, we'll just have to see then, won't we? Don't forget I know a few more spells than you do, but I'll be a gentleman and let you have your dream of beating me.

Hey! Stay out of it, Rosier! You too, Em! Go do your pity snogging somewhere else!

My point is that it is worth 100 Galleons if I don't get hurt! I know how to handle these creatures, Emmy, you should know that! So you see, no risk at all! It'll be great!

But...but...oh but still! Dai, I don't even want to think of you getting hurt!

And furthermore, watch your mouth as well, lest I should come after you after I'm through with Rosier!

How about this: you pay me 100 Galleons and I won't do anything!

I'll be sure to watch my mouth though. Merlin knows Rosier shouldn't be any sort of challenge for you! You'll still be all riled up once you get to me!

Heh heh. Well, at least you believe I might be able to survive this.

Don't start counting your chickens before they hatch, Rosier. I too worked hard in my defense class this year as well. What makes you think that I don't know a thing or two about dueling myself?

devilish_puff April 20 2006, 08:07:13 UTC
Because your arse got kicked in the tournament this past year, and by Marlene McKinnon, no less. Placing 3rd in my year is saying quite a lot about my dueling expertise. I'm no old fool Dumbledore, but it is saying something.

Marlene McKinnon is a great duelist and a talented witch. Getting defeated by her is no shameful thing!

Exactly! Marly's fantastic at Defence!

Shut up! Were it not for my faulty wand, things might have turned out differently. For all I know, since the duelists were paired up randomly, you could have won your place quiet effortlessly for all I care, so don't let your placing third in the tournament get to your head either, Rosier. I'm not one to be shoved around!
