Grrrr! Arrrg!

So that last post was due to my new on-line intro to accounting class. It has been a big fat pain in my arse. I have one large textbook, 2 notebook sized study guides with CD's for guided study demos, there is a weekly lecture to read and an on-line accounting lab for practice (cuz the study guides aren't enough) and for doing homework and exams. Shite!!! Do ya think there's enough here?!? I've spent most of my time trying to figure out what all this stuff is. Now, I can't play the CD's OR do the homework on my computer because they are not Mac-friendly. The CD's don't run and the homework can only be run on Explorer 6, which is not made for Macs. FUCKERS! That really annoys me, can you tell? So now I have to use either my sister's computer or the computers here at work - which is a lucky convenience I have not overlooked, however! I just tried to log on and these damn PC's are so slow, Explorer won't load. I'm sure there is some kind of back-up being run off-site cuz I know they do that but I've been spending about 3-4 hours a night on this class alone just trying to get all this technology working. *stick tongue between lips and blow*

Now, here is where you DO NOT rub it in that I took an on-line class so I'm gonna have to deal with on-line and tech stuff. yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm not in the mood for it. I'm just frustrated that I have all these materials with either no instructions on how to utilize them (i.e. what are all the books for????) or no ability to utilize them 'cuz they don't like Macintosh and were paid off by Microsoft to specialize with their programs. And Macs are the computer of choice in education. Whatever! Looser! (say it like a valley-teen)

In the long run, I've figured out what each text is for and think I know how best to use them for this student's understanding and assimilation of the info I am to be learning. I'm lucky that I discovered (BTW my cat is yelling at me as well 'cuz I'm not playing with him) that the demos on the CD are laid out in the study guides so I don't necessarily have to use the CD's. But, I still have to do my homework and tests on the website, MyAccountingLab.com. I hope to god it will work on The Home computers else I'm, as they say, screwed.

Blah!
