Soooo I got engaged.
I will now post all about wedding stuff, which I just find terribly exciting! I tried on 3 vintage replica gowns at Cabaret. I really like the Soiree, but it's a little too drab / 40-something second marriagey. I also really liked the Bijou but it would need a lot of expensive alterations on the corset because I am so short and it digs in to my hips and leaves awful welts! I also Also both these dresses are in the $700 range...
Sooo, I am thinking of getting a eBay custom dress from China for $100. I've bought eBay dresses from China before and they were all pretty good (just got to watch them on the fabric). I REALLY like this dress:
They ask for 16 measurements (even nipple to nipple!) and I figure even if it's not perfect, I can get it altered for less than $50. And worst case, if it's awful, it's only $100 and I can probably salvage it as a party dress. Here is the back! it's a little much on the cleavage, but I can add some satin ribbon to the neck line if it's too much...hmm.
