Further to tuesday's entry, the recycling was NOT collected, as I feared. loupblanc emailed the council and today I got a call from Andrew from recycling at the council. They will deliver new lids "at somepoint in the next few weeks", and are arranging a new collection (it could have been today but monday or tues would be easier for me). He will have a word with the guys about damagin the boxes and keeping an eye out between the cars for our box (which is what happened this week). He was very nice and helpful and it makes me wish we'd taken the trouble to complain before we got all cranky...
