My job is being eliminated at work. They're creating a new position doing the same thing I'm doing, but it requires a bachelors degree. Since I'm not likely to be able to get three math classes that are all prerequisites of one another done in the next week plus a humanities class--I'm not even half way there for a Bachelors. Yay! The VP was pretty adamant that the degree was required.
Long and short, even if I apply for my job I'm probably not going to get it and I'll most likely be unemployed by mid month next month.
My brain is doing circles...something akin to ohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshit and I'm wondering how I'm going to pay rent and my car payment given that rent is more or less $500 and my car payment is $350. I talked to my housemates yesterday, but who knows. I realize it's not the end of the world and I will do what I can to work and get a steady job. I'll even return to retail. I just want to do something that I love. I don't particularly adore HR, but I do know it. Obviously I need to make school a priority because otherwise I'm going to get my ass handed to me. I'm just not sure if I can handle the cost of a UoP edu and I need a cheap school that isn't going to sink me $25,000 into debt. For the record, I love our schools.
So, for all of you out there in cyberspace still reading, if anyone knows of any jobs in Southern California in the vagaries of San Diego, Orange or Los Angeles Counties...I'm looking for a place to apply and work.
