My date today

My date today was awesome. I met Kasi at the park, we set down our picnic blanket and set out the food, had some polite conversation while we ate. After we ate, I lied down on the picnic blanket, and Kasi tickled me a bit. We wrestled around for a little bit, and ended up face to face. We shared our first kiss then, and it was wonderful. We made out for a bit, but had to move our blanket because they were mowing the grass. After moving the blanket, we kissed some more, and then decided to go for a walk around the park. Dropped off stuff in the car, and we walked together while I played with my devil sticks. After our walk, we went to the mall to catch a movie. Would have had to wait an hour and a half to watch Harry Potter, so we settled on Funny People. Wasn't a bad movie, Seth Rogan and Adam Sandler actually have some really good chemistry. Lost a bit of steam in the last 3rd though, as the typical Apatow sentimentality isn't tempered with enough humor. All in all, a good movie, made better by good company. Afterwards, we walked through what's left of the Greeley mall. Lot of stores were closed, and the place was deserted. Kinda depressing. We sat and talked for a bit before she got a text from her sister inquiring as to when she'd be home. I took her back to her car, and we had a rather extended goodbye. Drove home, and here I am.

I'm feeling very optimistic about this relationship. Kasi says she wants to go slow, and I'm inclined to agree. My last three relationship have moved onto some pretty heavy stuff within the first few days, so I'm more than ready to just enjoy making out for as long as it takes. Seems Kasi is having trouble controlling herself already, though, given how aggressive she's been. I'm content to be the pace setter though, and I won't let her do something she's not ready for. I'm past the time of hormones, and I know that delaying something makes the having all the better, when it comes time. In the meantime, I'm just happy to be around her.
