Ten favorite memories of Spring.
1. St. Patrick’s Day. I still remember when JP bought me that “Fuck me I’m Irish pin” and I almost forgot to take it off for my date with Ste that night. In which we went to McDonalds with his daughter. That would have been SO awkward.
2. Pretty much every year there’s something wonderful about good old Irish Day. But seeing the parade for the first time, seeing all these people and all this excitement and being caught up in all of it, it was really incredible.
3. I love going hiking during the spring. There’s some great trails and mountains upstate that are just so peaceful.
4. Hearing Jeanne-Marie sing for Easter.
5. Working at the animal shelter and adopting Tripod.
6. We got Paco in the spring.
7. Getting my own apartment and decorating it.
8. The paint fight. Which I think needs a rematch in the near future.
9. So You Think You Can Dance nights with John.
10. Not really a favorite, but it is a lasting and repetitive memory. Getting that first sunburn, usually on an overcast day.
Aside from one incredibly painful memory, Spring has actually been very good to me.
