I think maybe if you're both straight, your respective partners tend to get the wrong idea?

I agree that's always a possibility. And will probably come up and one point or another. But I think it depends on the security of the relationship. You have to trust everyone enough to know that nothing would ever happen, and it really is just a friendship.

And the friends need to know to back off a little bit if the partner is really upset. Not break up the friendship, but be aware not to spend time alone together, things like that. I guess it depends on the situation.
