Title: The Blue Court Diamond
Crossover Fandom:
Leverage,
Magnificent Seven, and
Magic Kaitou. It isn't necessary to know all of this, but I thought I would link if people wanted a better idea of who some of these characters are.
Pairing: Peter/Elizabeth.
Rating: PG-13/T
Word Count: 10500
Spoilers: Set after the season 2 finale for White Collar, but only referenced a couple of times. For Leverage, it's set after season 3, although things there aren't really referenced at all. There really isn't a set time for the Magnificent Seven universe, though the team has been together for a while now. For Magic Kaitou, it's set near an AU end of the story, although there really isn't much that can't be learned by reading a couple of chapters of the manga. Or by reading fanfiction, like I've done. :D
Warnings: This is a crackfic.
Summary: The Blue Court Diamond is in New York, the thieves are converging and poor Peter is stuck in the middle.
Author's Note: I do not own White Collar or its characters, I also don't own anything from Leverage, Magnificent Seven, or Magic Kaitou. And then I would like to thank my beta and my artist
crescent_gaia for she is awesome. And I would like to thank the mods, because this was an awesome big bang. I've had a great time writing this fic.

Chapter 1: Ninja and a Con woman?
“Here’s your new case,” Hughes said as he plopped the large file down onto Peter’s desk.
Peter opened the file and started to read. He got as far as the name and picture before he ground to a halt. The name gave him no trouble - Catherine Smith - but the picture just wasn’t possible. “That’s my wife’s picture,” he blurted out.
“Oh, good, then you shouldn’t have any trouble at all,” Hughes said.
“But, this can’t be right,” Peter spluttered.
“What’s wrong with it?” Hughes asked.
“Someone must have gotten the pictures of Catherine Smith and my wife mixed up, because my wife is not a,” Peter paused as he read further, “con woman.”
“It would be a lot easier if it was your wife,” Hughes counseled, “I sent Neal on a mission an hour ago and he’s not due back until Wednesday.”
“What?” Peter asked, not really sure which part of Hughes’ statement was worse.
“Well, if it were your wife, you could just pick her up without any trouble.” Hughes shrugged when he saw that Peter wasn’t going for it.
“And what’s this about sending Neal off on a mission?” Peter asked.
“It’s a twofold mission, which is why it’s going to take him so long,” Hughes explained. “First, he’s running a message to Washington DC, and second, he’s escorting the Blue Court diamond back to New York.”
“That’s wrong on so many levels,” Peter said. “What’s this message about?”
“It’s our new budget requests for the new computers,” Hughes said with a shrug.
“And why did you send Neal to deliver it? Haven’t you heard of email or FedEx?” Peter questioned.
“We could have sent it either of those ways, but Neal was already going out that way to pick up the Blue Court diamond, so we figured that we might as well,” Hughes answered.
“You do know that there’s a good chance that the Blue Court diamond won’t make it to New York at all?” Peter pointed out.
“Yeah, those bandits are becoming a real nuisance, but I have enough faith in Neal’s skills to get him through this mission,” Hughes answered.
“It’s Neal’s skills that will make certain that the Blue Court Diamond won’t reach New York,” Peter muttered. “What is this Blue Court diamond, anyway?”
“It’s a mystical gem that grants immortality when held up to the light of the full moon,” Hughes answered.
“We’re bringing the Pandora to New York? Or, rather, it’s definitely going to disappear before it reaches here,” Peter asked. “Unless Neal decides to hold a game here, in which case I do feel like I should curse you till kingdom come. Sir.”
“Why’s that?” Hughes asked.
“Because things seem to be messed up enough without adding the Kaitou Kid into all of this,” Peter replied. “Not to mention that I really don’t want to have to referee between two thieves, only one of whom that I can actually control.”
“Oh, don’t worry about that,” Hughes waved off, “I’m sure that everything will go just fine.”
“Shit,” Peter said as Hughes walked off. He took out his cell phone and tried to decide who to call first. He finally decided to call his wife first, sure in the fact that she would clear up this whole con woman thing in a few minutes.

Neal darted across buildings, the Blue Court diamond safe in his vest’s inside pocket. No one knew that he had it just yet; he had slipped in and stolen it easily. The museum would probably freak out over it, but he had left behind the government paperwork, so all of the hullabaloo would be focused on them rather than him.
His cell phone buzzed in another pocket in his vest and he momentarily paused on the side of a skyscraper to answer it. He looked a bit odd, if anyone had been there to see him, but Neal behaved as though he weren’t standing sideways. He flipped his phone open to answer it, “Neal Caffrey.”
“Neal, where are you?” Peter asked.
“Oh, just hanging,” Neal said, staring down at all of the people who looked like ants.
“Are you still in New York?” Peter asked, sounding impatient.
“I am back in New York,” Neal replied.
“Is it true that Hughes sent you out of your two mile radius?” Peter asked.
“He learned what I could do and he had a need that I could fulfill,” Neal answered. He grinned. “And might I say it was wonderful getting out of the city for a while? Don’t get me wrong, New York’s a great city, but I’ve missed being able to go where I want.”
“Like Washington DC is really on your list of places to go,” Peter said.
“It had something I wanted,” Neal said, resisting the urge to pat his vest where the diamond was located.
“The Blue Court Diamond?” Peter asked.
“Exactly.” Neal waved hello across to the opposite building where someone was peering out. He doubted that he person saw him, but it still amused him.
“You do know that thing is Pandora, right?” Peter sounded exasperated as he asked yet another question.
“Of course, but don’t worry, Kid’s not expected in the United States for another week or so,” Neal reassured. Of course, that was just a rumor floating around in key circles and the magician thief had yet to set a date, but it still gave him time to set things up.
“He’s going to go after the diamond,” Peter pointed out.
“It’s going to be fun, isn’t it?” Neal asked, smirking even though Peter couldn’t see it.
“Just come back to the office, will you? We have a case and it’s not the Blue Court Diamond,” Peter said.
“What case is it?” Neal asked.
“Apparently someone thinks that my wife is a con woman,” Peter replied, sounding testy.
Neal chuckled. “Imagine that.”
“Just get back here before I set the rest of the force after you,” Peter said before hanging up on Neal.
“Never had to send the force before,” Neal said before he tucked his phone back into his vest before taking off, jumping from building to building.
