Lilith does come from the bible, however, she does not appear in the currents editions that are in print due to obvious reasons. in all meaning of the word she has been removed from the christian faith. After the catholics removed everything they felt was unfavorable or questionable Lilith could only be passed down as you found her.
as for vampires, that i do not know. and intercourse on the bottom is not the only reason lilith left adam, its just the symbolic reference she is given as she is often characterized as a "free spirit" or the rebellious type etc. many would actually argue that lilith left god, not adam, thereby making her mortal, but that i really know nothing about.
I have yet to find in the Torah any reference to Lilith, I take your word that it is there due to you having had to study the gods damned text, I just haven't come across it yet in the versions I am currently reading, I may have to find older versions of the text, preroamn conquest. I know they exist, I think I just have to go look in a library dedicated to Jewish doctrine and faith. Any suggestions? I am well aware that intercourse is not the only reason that Lilith would have left Adam. She was made of the earth just like Adam, and therefore believed that she was equal to him, Adam on the other hand was a chovinistic asshole, and tried to dominate her life (kinda sounds familiar, sorry), so she left him. From what I have found it doesn't appear that Lilith ever left God, it sound like as you said she was a free-spirit/ rebellious, basically someone who hated to have their life controled the way Adam would control it.
well i mean, if you cant find it, theres a pretty good chance i am wrong. i've never actually read it, its just been discussed in several of my classes, but its very possible i could have remembered wrong.
Thanks for the advice the other night. We talked the next day, and she wants to put off anything developing due to the other guy. To top that off she is worried that if she spend time with me that the temptation will arise agin. So being drunk, high, and 100% unconscience has killed the spark between us, that we both have aknowledged and dealt a near fatal blow to our friendship. sad how that happens to me, when I would rather have the friend than anything else.
