Lincoln!
I went off to Lincoln on the bus on saturday. Lovely weather at first but then we got rained on for most of the day. Lovely. Still, I got some shopping done.
I found it very hard to find any clothes I wanted to buy but, as always, Next found a way to tempt me. I bought a pair of jeans (I adore Next for realising short women aren't always built like twigs) and a top. The top cause some problems. I tried it on in dusky pink and black. It's a plain t-shirt like top with silk ruffles down the front. The pink looked way too floofy but the black was a nicely understated gothicy type look.
Lush didn't excite me on Saturday, all I bought was some moisturiser that I needed as I'd got through an entire tub of "Ultralight". Love the stuff. This batch was in a bottle for some reason, rather than a tub. I prefer the bottles, much less mess.
Then Boots! It's a decent size in Lincoln (not a patch on Nottingham or Meadowhall though!!) and I bought a couple of goodies from the Boots No7 counter. Their new mascara has intrigued me for a while now. I've seen rave reviews for it in magazines (but we all know how reliable those are!) so I was planning on buying. But £11.50! I can buy a MAC one for just about 50p more. I bought one anyway to try. I've only used it twice and so far it's nice. I don't rate it as highly as my Masterpiece though (and that's only £7/8) so I won't be buying i again. I'm on my third tube of the Masterpiece. I also bought one of their lipglosses. I really like those. They remind me a lot of the Juicy Tubes from Lancome but not quite as expensive. The one I got has tiny reflective particles in it. All sorts of colours. I hope the picture behind the cut shows it well. For free, I got their summer palette. It's nice, I was playing with it at the counter but as I haven't used it yet I can't give you a proper review.
