NJIT hockey
So around 4pm today i get a call from meagen to go to a NJIT hockey game. I got nothing else to do so i around 6:30 we leave to get to the game at 7. It was pretty uneventful the first 2 periods. We were losing 8 to 3. But it was only the teams second game and they didnt have any tryouts...everyone that wants in was on the team. Since they were late in starting in the season and because they dont have a coach they couldnt get into the league. But the still play other colleges. Anyways back to the game. In the middle of the third period a player on the other team made a cheap shot. So he got a penalty but before the njit play got up he him the njit play again on the ground...well. They start fighting as well as everyone out on the ice. The crowning moment was when a njit came from the far blue line a full speed and did the flying squirrel into the crowd. It was awesome. Then everyone on the ice got thrown out even if they werent fighting. This didnt go over well. More fighting and yelling. Then the fight starts off the ice with the guys that got thrown out. It was good times. No one from njit got hurt. All in all a total of 11 people got thrown out of the game. This left the other team to play with 8 guys of the last 10 minutes.
I also learned that they exile backup goalies and there are get out of jail free cards in hockey. It was fun.
