I did it again.
I let myself get roped into S-H-I-T that I don't need to be doing. So as most of you know, SCT is doing "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" and it's going smashingly well. WELL, they wanted to do a prevue type thing for the kids at Rockway and at KR and possibly other schools. I got an e-mail concerning this on Tuesday, e-mail back saying that it was cool and receive the music via fax at school. (BTW, this was no ordinary fax. No, it was THIRTY FIVE PAGES LONG!!! BAH! AND THEN WE ADDED ANOTHER SONG. DOUBLE BAH!)
So that was Wednesday. And I had to rehearse the songs with them tonight, Thursday, in preparation for the Rockway stuff, Friday. So, if you work out the long division, you will find I have only TWO DAYS to learn 50 pages of music which, I might add, is the hardest music in my LIFE. OMG, if you have ever seen this music (I think it's the Tams version) you understand. BAEHDF:SLJ:LKSJD:LKJDG.
So I just played it tonight...and it was horrible. Aaaaah. And these people are so nice, and don't know half the cast (AKA, 6 people). So they probably think I'm some type of hack. Yes, HACK.
Besides that SHIT, J-Term is going along very smoothly. My service place is at the Parent Infant Center and I originally did not want to go there whatsoever, but it's turned out to be really cool. I met this awesome girl Sarah who's 24 and engaged (damnit!) and completely sweet! In DI, everything's cool. We're the farthest along with our stuff. We have our 8 X 10 backdrop completely painted and we're adding felt to it tomm, so that's done. Our bridge (which is our "prop" and has to be built entirely out of wood and glue, no nails) is almost finished. Our other little props (aka axes and such) are almost done. The cardboard/wood trees are done. So basically we just need costumes and to do the songs and we're finished. And the thing's not until March. HOORAY!
Wittenberg sucks my ASS. omg, Intro to Soci is the worst class of my life. The professer, Houseknecht is her name, is completely unorganized. And her thoughtprocess/speech is so tiring. Aaah. I almost fell asleep today, and I was most definitely in the front row. Oops. And Elem Music Theory is poop, toom, because it's starting from the very beginning with reading music and crap like that. So I'm basically getting nothing from the course and having to do homework still. Cool.
Well, that's my entire life story. God, this thing is huge.
But, I'm off to practice some more..blah. Bye ya'll.
