Swing dancing?

I need to find a dance partner if I am going to continue dancing, at least with Swing. I want to do the jams and once again be part of the team performances and for that I need a partner. You'd think finding one wouldn't be all that difficult and I have tried to court a couple girls, but they weren't interested. And as I have been told on numerous occasions, you can tell if they are interested, they return calls and make efforts to become a partner. If I do all the legwork then her comments are just meant to be polite and not say "no" outright.
The other option is to try my hand at Salsa. I different dance so I'm a beginner again.
