"I want you to know...there's no coming back.."

I'm concerned.

4 people were kicked out last night- one was an RA.

While I was in no way involved with the activities that caused them to be expelled, I'm still concerned. I am in such a state because I worry about my peers. It shocks me what people do when they attain a certain level of freedom. I don't know, maybe it's because I lived a sheltered life. Maybe it's because I never heard about people getting absolutely smashed and then doing insanely stupid things from anywhere but the news. Supposedly "responsible" adults never supplied alcohol to minors, and kids weren't vomiting in their rooms due to consuming an inhuman amount of vodka.

Now, I know admin is going to be truly pissed off over this. They just lost a decent amount of funding for next year since their student count has dropped so low this year. Admin, this is what happens when you constantly lower your prerequisites for attending this school more and more. This school wasn't founded just so kids could get away from their parents and get wasted every weekend. This school was not founded so people who make a 12 on the ACT can come here and do as they please. It was founded so that the best and brightest of this state can have an excellent outlet for their intelligence. As these standards lower every year, you attract more and more scandal such as the events of this past weekend. Earlier this year, 6 students were kicked out over the course of 1 night.

See any trends here?

I can only hope that the admissions office has learned something over this. When you accept dumb students, they do dumb things. I pray the class they accept this year isn't as bad.
