This is my first box of the summer. I always have a hard time photographing these 3-D things because I'm not set up well for it. Some of these pix are not good enough to submit, but oh well. I guess I'll just have to re-shoot them when the time comes.
Here's the outside:
The black rings keep the box shut from both sides, and the little ring being on top forces the viewer to open the top chamber first.
Rest of pix behind the cut...
It's a double-hinged construction.
you can see the red spikes coming in from the top.
this is the back:
When you first open it, you get this:
it's hard to see the little red spikes in this photo, but you can see it a little better in the image above. The spikes fit into the holes in the photo. Believe it or not, it was actually challenging getting the spikes to line up with the holes!
After you view the top, you can unlock the second half. it looks like this when you first open it:
then you are supposed to know to pull on that little piece of fabric, in fact, I am trying to figure out how to make that more obvious.
Anyhow, after you pull up on the fabric, the nest picture lifts out, and you get the real deal underneath:
the nest inside has little scrolls in it.
The scrolls have little found poems in them:
as I was finding the poems in there, it struck me that I could just as easily have found little pieces that were negative. every possibility is present...it's how you see it.
