A fresh canvas...

.. can be a very dangerous thing. It begs the question of potential, and as the artist stares at blank canvas it can be staggering at the unlimited potential so long as he never raises a brush. Granted, this ain't exactly art. Considering the glut of self-assured and otherwise delusional sorts on LJ who seem ot think that their daily lives are somehow worthy of stirring my neurons there's little that I could do to bring down the standard. Hint: There are enough furries and rabid sports commentators in the world.
Honestly, the value of a single opinion is, essentially, zero. Considering the state of American Democracy, the opinions of the majority are scarcely valid. One might, at this point, ask why someone with these beliefs would bother stating opinions. (It's a really good question. You may have a cookie.)
Well, as one who fancies himself a historian of somewhat recent events - what Bush recently referred to as a "revisionist historian" - my simple pleasure here is derived in the likelihood of being able to point back here and say, "I told you so." Other than that, this will be the repository of my beer-inspired rantings, conspiracy theories, and other assorted brain drool.
You have, I assume, been warned.
