Me and tumblr had our first fight
So here's wotsup, up until like Feb or March of this year, pretty much every thing I read about Taylor (besides her Wiki page obv) was in Rolling Stone or Entertainment Weekly, because they come to my house. I've kinda always been a fan, I like the origin story and I -really- liked her way with lyrics and, eh, melodies.. lyrics mainly. I'm really enchanted with that thing she does.. switching a word or two in the last chorus, usually changing the narrators point of view. And when the obsession set in, I read all the reviews of the albums and concerts that I could track down.. and started going through the newsfeeds with a fine-toothed comb. And that brought me to tumblr. After I got to where I thought I'd read justabout everything ever written abut Taylor but I was still thirsty, I started looking around for other sources. I'm not sure exactly what put tumblr in my search window, but igottatellya buddy, I was, um, enchanted when I started clicking around. In no time at all there was a group of six or eight blogs that I was checking every day three or five times a day. For some reason, the vagaries of Google or whatev, one of the Kaylor blogs I really liked kept getting dropped out of the usual search, so that led me to actually search kaylor and I found another few blogs to track regularly. Since I'm going to definitely clip and drop this bit onto my tumblr, I don't know if iota name the blogs I like most.. maybe not right away suffice it to say that it's a smattering of Tayvins (Taylor and Calvin as OTP) and Kaylors (Taylor and Karlie Kloss as OTP) and a couple or so that just fun I -will- say that blame1989 is one of the most FUN blogs that I read. Anyhow, I stalked a handfulla blogs for a couple of weeks before the day (last Sunday) came when I was finally moved to create my own tumblr.. mostly because the stuff I was writing was pretty much completely ignored where I was already posting. So yeah, I'm seriously craving s'more follows, but hey, I've got three and two of them are blogs that I HUGELY respect, so that's pretty good validation. And a couple more of my favs have replied to my asks. You can be sure that after I reblog another several posts, I'll come back in for another round of oversharing. I got unfollowed today. And I only had three followers. I think I know why, and it's not because of one of MY posts. So, I started my tumblr last Sun and I initially followed, like, twelve blogs. I got my favorite Tayvin blog (palegingerbabies), my favorite Kaylor blog (cari372) and my favorite fun blog (analyzingtaylor).. oh there's at least one more that I want to mention because it's also so much fun, that's blame1989. I could be wrong, but I figurethose four are familiar with each others work.I get surprised though, 'cause I woulda -never- figured that analyzingtaylor would notice me.. though he did answer a couple of my asks.. and he (I figure that one's a guy, the others are for sure female) started following me. It blew me away and THEN, palegingerbabies followed me. It made me such a tumblr fanboy. Two of my favorite, admired, RESPECTED bloggers followed me! The third one is even more surprising, catchingmegz (a Swifie in Germany)came completely out of nowhere, I wasn't following her and don't have a clue how I scored that random follow. Actually, my very first follow was a spambot or something, when I clicked on the icon I got a “there's nothing here” error message. And when I click up my short (and now shorter) list of followers, that name's not there.. although it IS included in the count. Like, the account SAYS there are three followers, but only two icons populate the list. Yeah, one of my three unfollowed me.. and it's one of my IDOLS. I'm crushed, sort of. Oh and before I can even see what else the dash has washed in, I've got another follow, annit's another random that I wasn't already following.. of course I am now.
