Dramatic Times - Ch 1

Within 2 hours and fifty-five minutes, Junsu was officially ready to declare the new boy, the love of his life. Yes, that’s right, it only took around 1 period and 90% of second period to convince Junsu of this. And no, he is not a young lamb being led astray - though the funny little touches may have been a small (BIG) reason why his heart decided to flutter every time the other teen walked by and brushed his arm.

By the end of the next five minutes and the chaotic bell of high school signaling the end of another typical class, Junsu was ready to stand up and declare to the world that he loves Yoochun. But he thought that was a silly idea so he nodded to himself, coming up with an ingenious idea. He should go straight for the root of the problem - Park Yoochun.

Thus Junsu found himself standing face to face with the pale teen, eyes staring into the others’ (yes, they were definitely meant to be). Opening and gaping his mouth, he tried to pour his thoughts out onto the table for Yoochun. Unfortunately, this made Yoochun stare at him oddly and scrunch up his nose in that confused way (that was definitely his confused face - Junsu had memorized it after Yoochun’s incident with The Girl - so don’t tell him that he’s wrong).

“Yes?” Yoochun tilted his head in that oh-so-perfect way.

“I…” Junsu stammered, glaring at the table so he wouldn’t glare into the others’ beautiful eyes, because obviously the last thing he wanted Yoochun to think is that he’s angry at him. “I…” He tried again, frown settling into his face.

“You?” Yoochun returned easily, his breathy tone unsettling Junsu’s soul.

“I really like…your…um…hair!” Junsu nodded frantically while berating himself mentally. Really, he liked Yoochun for a lot more reasons than just his hair. God, hopefully the other boy won’t think that he is shallow.

“My hair…?” Yoochun raised an eyebrow, tugging at his wavy curls.

“Yes, they make my heart um thump.”

Yoochun nodded slowly, a tiny smile showing up on his lips. “Right. Well, I like your hair too.”

Junsu nodded slowly before realization that Yoochun complimented him - which eventually led him to a literal meltdown. “Really? BecauseIreallydon’tlikeitbecauseEunhyuksaysit’ssouglyandthatIshouldchangeit.”

“Really? I like it.” Yoochun smiled, nodding as if he understood everything Junsu said. And perhaps he did. Since they were meant to be afterall.

Junsu broke out into a delightful smile. “Thank you!”

“So…” Yoochun glanced around. “Should we move onto the next class?”

Junsu nodded eagerly. “Let’s.”

Yoochun grinned and slung his bag over his shoulder. “My name is Yoochun, by the way, yours?”

Junsu licked his lips, trying to act as if he hadn’t already committed the name to his heart in the first five minutes of classes. “Junsu - Kim Junsu.”

“Nice you to meet you, Junsu.” Yoochun held out his hand in greeting, a friendly smile spreading across his face.

Junsu nodded quickly, wiping his palm on his pants before shaking Yoochun’s hand firmly. His heart nearly stopped when Yoochun pulled him close for a hug.

“Mmm, cinnamon. I knew you would smell nice.”

“Uhhh….” Junsu zoned out, staring at Yoochun’s collarbone.

Yoochun chuckled and wrapped an arm around Junsu’s shoulders. “I think this is when we should travel off to our next intellectual adventure, don’t you?”

“Okay.” Junsu nodded meekly, following Yoochun’s lead as he tried to memorize what the weight against his shoulders felt like. He glanced around quietly as they traveled down the empty hallway. “Shouldn’t we hurry? Classes will start soon.”

“It’s all good, Junsu-ah.” Yoochun tightened his grip, pulling Junsu flat against his slim body. “We can always said I got lost and you, being the Good Samaritan that you are, helped me find our classroom.”

“Oh that works.” Junsu replied as he added the fact, “smart,” to Yoochun’s list of many amazing attributes.

“Of course it would! I would never let you get into trouble.” Yoochun smiled, dazzling Junsu with his intensity.

Junsu nodded again, his mouth gaping open in amazement. Apparently, somewhere along the road, his mouth had decided to stop working. Not that he mind. It would just mean he would be able to listen to Yoochun talk even more often. Junsu smiled happily, leaning into Yoochun’s grip, not thinking for once how odd it would be for a complete stranger to hug him this way.
