The Time Meddler
The TARDIS arrives on an English coastline in the year 1066. Exploring, the Doctor discovers that one of his own people, the Monk, is conspiring to wipe out the Viking fleet and thus allow King Harold to face the forces of William of Normandy with a fresh army at the Battle of Hastings. The Doctor succeeds in thwarting the Monk's plans and leaves him trapped in England.
I shall miss them, too, Vicki. :(

The incidental music is a lot better in this episode. It's not as quiet as it was in the early episodes, and it's not awful 60s music like in the Chase.
I'm really loving the interaction between Steven and Vicki. They're both leaders and it's so hard for Steven to take a backseat just because he's new to the party.

THE MONK'S GOT A TARDIS! I knew he was a time-traveller, but I wasn't expecting a TARDIS.
When I saw the title "The Battle of Wits" I was expecting something more along the lines of The Princess Bride. Iocane powder!
Why doesn't the monk lock his TARDIS? =/

And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for those meddling kids! I've been waiting four episodes to say that.
