SUPERNATURAL 5.13 REVIEW!

First of all this episode was one hundred percent pure win. The Sam I have been seriously aching for has decided to show his face again, and as a fan-I am truly glad I had my Sammy back for just this episode. The emotions that crossed his face at this episode, was so priceless-I just can’t believe it-really, I can’t. The look in his eye when he saw John and Mary for the first time-made me seriously want to shrivel up and cry. Because it was just that intense. Everything about this episode made me seriously want to go get some paper towels to wipe the tears away. Sam just made me want to hug him. One of my favorite scenes about this episode was probably the conversation between Sam and John-because there are so many unsaid things between these two characters, and Sam somehow got his own fucked up version of a closure. No matter if young!John had no idea who Sam was-STILL--- Sam knew who he was-and in the end-Sam forgave John, but most of all forgave himself, and that touched me in ways I can’t possibly imagine. This episode made me truly love Sam again-and remember what an amazing character he is.

Besides my growing love affection for Sam-one other person that made me grin was of course Castiel. I think this was one of my favorite episodes with him-and he was hardly in it. LOL! But regardless-Cass made my freaking night-with the “Sam is my friend,” line. I really held my breath at that scene, expecting Castiel to go along with the bitch Anna’s plan; because-Castiel is only affiliated to Dean-his primary concern is Dean-I never really saw Castiel and Sam interact-so my mind was leaning on Cas considering Anna’s offer and then taking it later on. Never did I expect Castiel to actually flat out say no… I swear--- that part made me jump. Cass is just amazing. And the humor between him and Dean-still evident as it always is-I just love the two together! xD Now, for the Anna bitch-I never liked her. And its not just because she had the chance to get nakey!time with Dean. Her character just never appealed to me-it seemed too Mary-Sue at the time-the human angel, I found her completely pointless, and seriously considered her nothing more than a temporary love interest for Dean-and even that didn’t work well. Anna was just the wannabe!Ruby to Dean-she was supposed to be what Ruby was to Sam-only her character isn’t nearly as persuasive enough-and Dean isn’t anywhere as idiotic and trusting as Sam is.

*Deep breath*

Now for the good stuff. DEAN. As usual he was just amazing-amazing to a fault. I seriously want to smite him for being so gosh-darn amazing. My favorite scene with Dean in this episode was definitely his talk with Mary-I think its so sentimental-so heartbreaking-and just out right perfect. I can’t get over the fact that Jensen is such a good actor. My second favorite scene was probably Dean’s dream sequence. I think it was a relief to see that-it shows that Dean is healing from hell-of course he isn’t completely healed-or anywhere near it-but it shows that he is getting better at dealing with it now. I am just thankful Dean wasn’t having nightmares about hell-and Anna walked into that-- no matter how interesting that scene would have been. Dean is and always will be my favorite Winchester-but this episode was just owned in the end-by Michael….

I think that the moment Anna said “Michael” to John-I knew that it had something to do with the bloodlines. I just fucking knew it. Me and about a handful of thousand other fans had guessed that it had something to do with the bloodline-that Dean and Sam are from some noble blood line that allows them to be vessels to the biggest and baddest sons of bitches in hell and heaven. It makes sense really-and I’ve been having that theory since the whole Dean being Michael’s vessel thing came out. It was too much of a coincidence that Sam was Lucifer’s vessel and Dean was Micheal’s--- the puzzles fit way too perfectly for it to be considered a chance-it is FATE.

Finally, broaching the subject of Michael-most people are probably jumping off their asses-exclaiming what a wonderful chap Michael is. He saved Sam, killed the bitch Anna, and made Uriel disappear-! What a charming bloke-and to top it all off--- he seemed less of a dick than Zachariah-so I am guessing that’s a plus. But whatever Michael does--- I am not impressed by it-not by a long shot. Because-Lucifer is nice to Sammy too-Lucifer would never hurt Sammy-but, if given the chance-would Lucifer have killed Dean if they were in that situation? YES. But-Michael is deemed the bigger, stronger, more compassionate brother, right? Well-then, it seems as if saving Sam was a ploy to imprint the act of kindness in Dean’s mind. Sure he isn’t bothered by it now-and really doesn’t let it plan out in his head-but sooner or later; the doubts that Dean is having now-will resurface and intensify tenfold. Because-already he has doubts-and this episode showed that there is a big chance that Dean might end up saying “yes”--- which would totally kill me. But-Dean being Dean-will fight until he can’t fight anymore-but those doubts will always be there. We just have to wait for the next few episodes to see just how Dean deals with this new found information and if he chooses to share all of this with Sam-although, I kind of think that Sam knows already.

There! *deep breath* That’s my review of this wonderful episode. It is definitely going down as one of my favorite episodes ever-and every single thing about it was amazing-even down to Uriel showing his ugly face again. I loved it. AMAZING! PLEASE give us more episodes like this Kripke! PLEASE.
