Yes, well a couple days late. Better than a couple months late though. Right?
Well I ended up spending more money than I expected, heh. I needed some retail thearpy. But before I get to this weekend's purchases I want to show the promised pics of my less recent buys.
Pillow! As stated in my previous post, I didn't expect to get into this line but Pillow was just too cute to resist. I have to say though I didn't expect them to be so floppy. Everytime I pick her up I feel like her head is going to fall off, heh. I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it.
Here's Santeria debuting my new white background. I plan to eventually get some different color backgrounds as well. I'd love to eventually get some Halloween fabric to stick in the background too. I'm not sure if I'm going to get around to doing that this year though. Most of the decent fabric I saw has been $10 a yard. I can't justify that now, maybe when it goes on clearance.
Sisters? Cousins? I haven't quite decided how they're related yet. I do know they're going to be one huge disfunctional family though. lol. Is it me or does Calavera look so much happier than she usually does in the pic? On the other head Santeria looks like she wants to devour Calavera, heh. I chose this pic over some other ones with better lighting for that reason.
Now I think that's it for the less recent purchases.... Oh well, if I remember anything else I'll just make a seprate post for it.
TY finally got around to making Eleanor and Jeanette. I don't know why they didn't just include them in the 1st wave of Chipmunk plushies but oh well. At least they made them. Everytime I look at Eleanor I giggle a little bit though. I just can't get past the face that she looks like Theodore in pigtails and a skirt. I don't feel that way about the other chipettes, just Eleanor. I once contemplated getting another Theodore and somehow putting a little wig on him as a joke so he could be 'Eleanor'. Maybe that's why.
Lumiere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, how fricken awesome is he?! Beauty and the Beast was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. And Lumiere was my favorite character from Beauty and the Beast. Really I could sing 'Be Our Guest' word for word. I was surprised how much of the song I remembered when I went back to watch the movie recently. I guess some things you never forget, heh. I would have gone absolutely crazy if this was released back then. Hell I'm going absolutely crazy NOW.
You have no idea how hard it was to get him to stand on his own. You can't tell but he's actually taped down.
And what's Lumiere without a Cogsworth to bother? I love how this Cogsworth has the EXACT same expression as the beanie Cogsworth I had in my childhood.
I also bought a crapload of Pook-a-Looz at the Disney Store. They were on clearance for $3.99. How could I resist? I went from having 7 Pook-a-Looz to having 22 Pook-a-Looz in a matter of days. Uh, whoops? lol. I'll post a picture once I find someplace big enough for a group picture. I also saw the the most goddamn amazingly epic Nightmare Before Christmas plushies.(yes they were so awesome that they deserve that many adjectives) They had Jack, SALLY(yaaaaay!), Lock, Shock, Barrel and the Mayor. I need them NOW. I would have bought them then if I didn't already spend so much money. I'm really shocked that the Disney Store is carrying NBC stuff this year let alone so many characters. Usually when I go looking for NBC stuff in reality I'm looking for Jack Skellington stuff. I'm excited to see plushies for a majority of the cast! Now if only they made Zero....I guess I shouldn't be complaning. I'm surprised they didn't make Oogie Boogie though.
Well I guess that's it for now. I'll try to post more later. After all I need to get back into posting for October. Which is really godamnit...2 DAYS AWAY! :D Beyond excited. Hopefully the summer will finally end now.
