Toss-up
Wow. Lots, and I mean LOTS, of surprising awards/upsets tonight. But SCORSESE WON! OH MAN! HE WON! *dances* Poor man. And I laughed when the announcer commented "Scorsese says this is the first film he's made with a plot" Oh, Scorsese. Perseverance. It does pay off.
So I ended up being 13 of 24. My only disappointment was that "Pan's Labyrinth" didn't win Best Foreign Language Film. BUT, it did win it for Best Cinematography and Art Direction, two extremely well-deserved awards. And Gustavo Santaolalla won for Best Score! :) OH WAIT! Another disappointment (surprise, really) that "Happy Feet" won. I did see the film and it kinda freaked me out with the heavy underscore of political messages in it. I was like, "This is a kid's film!" But yeah
And I'm glad "Little Miss Sunshine" was acknowledged in Best Original Screenplay. I need to buy it on DVD. haha
