R.I.P. Arthur

My sister's pet hamster - Arthur - died last night. I'm always amazed at how much Diana spoils her hamsters so he was comfortable when it happened (it was his time to go). She's sad, but glad that he's not suffering anymore (he had been sick...). She said he died stuffing his face (he really liked to eat and he died doing what he loved). I asked her what she was going to do with the body and she said she planned to...*ahem*...fling it off a cliff and send him "back into nature" (her words). There are a lot of nice cliffs (near the ocean) in Santa Cruz, so it's actually do-able. She told me her plan and I immediately thought of that one scene from The Big Lebowski: Jeff Bridges and John Goodman try to throw Steve Buscemi's ashes off a cliff (near the ocean), but the wind blows the ashes back into their faces. I warned Diana to take the wind into account so she wouldn't have a Big Lebowski moment. She laughed (I'm glad she's taking it well). Nya Nya: Think of Garden State and maybe that'll make you smile too.
